Do directories yield traffic? I know one that does
One user writes:
I came to dp today to specifically look up threads on kingbloom. I made an entry in the Do directories work (deliver traffic thread) specifically mentioning that over the last few months I've seen traffic from the directory. Noticed a few similar posts.
In the last 2 years I had never seen this kind of traffic from a general directory.
2) how are you getting it to work.
And yet another user exclaims:
yahoo_user: i just wanted to tell you that I am seeing referral traffic coming directly from kingbloom
bellamiainc: that's fantastic
yahoo_user: yes, thank you!
bellamiainc: you're welcome!
yahoo_user: this is the first time I have seen this
yahoo_user: i will be listing more sites today
yahoo_user: thank you kingbloom!!! :)
I really do not have all day to list the countless similar comments I have received. The point I want to make is that, for a directory to be truly successful, it should be valuable to the end user, as well as the SEO. This is also the only way a directory is going to gain any type of respect from the SE world. We've worked very hard here at KingBloom to insure that our directory is clean, devoid of dead or outdated links, and full of fresh, well organized sites and categories.
